Glenda I was so impressed with your production. As you know, I have been to many Luau’s in Hawaii, Disney and including the Mai Kai in Ft. Lauderdale. So, I know and love this type of dance. Your dances were of the highest calibre. Each dancer was very familiar with the dances and exuded confidence during every routine. Your interactions with the audience encourage participation and made the entire event festive. The costumes were elegant, highly detailed and absolutely beautiful. I could not believe how pretty they were!!! I was so impressed with the number of costume changes, the variety of dances and the music. The drummer and his instrument lent a special flair to the evening. The fire knife dance was well worth the small extra sum. It completely mesmerized the audience and the kids loved it too. Your music selection was great and we loved the finish with the Hawaii 5-0 theme. You were all so kind and charming, as well as highly professional and entertaining. I am so glad you stayed for dessert. You did a remarkable job and I loved it!!!

Lei Day 2012 Vendors

We are pleased to announce that our Lei Day 2012 is just around the corner. We will be having more than 20 vendors at Lei Day. We will have a Hawaiian Country Store with tons of goodies from Hawaii. We will have some local businesses selling products. We will also have leis for sale, Polynesian Dance costumes, and even Shave Ice! We will have Tongan food on sale and even Tongo Water will be there to help support and promote.
Don’t forget that all of the vendors will be donating to our raffle drawing with some of their products and services. Regular raffle tickets are $1 BUT we also have $5 raffle tickets on sale. We are raffling off MAUI JIM SUNGLASSES and THE ULTIMATE LUAU PACKAGE for a party of 50 guests. The Luau package includes complete show, food from L&L, fire show, fresh flower leis.

Found this link… this is “MA” one of my Kumu’s or teachers at the Mai- Kai Polynesian Restaurant in Ft. Lauderdale, FL (open since 1956). She actually danced at the Mai-Kai as one of the original dancers who was brought over by musician Toti (to her right). As the years passed she ended up marrying the owner of the Mai-Kai. She then moved on to choreograph the show and eventually owning the restaurant with her family. I am very fortunate to have worked with her throughout the years.

Lei Day 2012 Tickets On Sale

5th Annual Lei Day 2012 tickets are officially on sale now. This year is very exciting with new costumes, choreography, and a new venue. This year our celebration will be at The Red Lion Hotel on Parker Rd in Aurora, CO. This year we will have many arts and crafts tables. Learn how to make feather flowers, aloha print headbands, flower bracelets, silk haku’s, and more! Vendors will be there selling Hawaiian Arts and Crafts, fresh flower leis, and other accessories. Colorado College April 28 2011

Yesterday we all traveled to Colorado Springs to Colorado College and performed at their luau on campus. We had LOTS of FUN! Derek (one of our musicians) sang preshow music and then we hit the stage with live drumming and music.

Colorado College students were an awesome audience and they even gave us LOTS of food after the show. We LOVE that….
