On June 1, 2013 we were invited to do a show for MHA. This is an organization responsible for tourism in New Town, North Dakota.  The experience was was phenomenal.  We were treated as VIP’s.  We had a grand tour of the Indian Reservation and not to mention performed our show in an Earth Lodge.  We were surrounded by the Native American Culture of the Nu’eta, Hidatsa, and Sahnish Tribes.  We visited the town of New Town and got to know the people and just how similar their culture is with ours.  Mahalo Nui Loa Jason and Staff for inviting us to New Town and hope to work with you all again soon!

“This is the moment…”02.14.13

Happy Valentines Day lovebirds!  This special blog is for you…here is your hint:

“This is the moment, of sweet Aloha, I will love you longer than forever, Promise me that you will leave me never.”

That’s right lovers.  Do you dream of a tropical wedding in Hawaii?  Have you envisioned the scent of tropical flowers and the sound of ocean waves since you were a little girl (or boy I guess, but I don’t typically think little boys dream of things like this)?  Let’s be real, who doesn’t want to get married in paradise?!  Well Kalama Polynesian Dancers is giving the people what they’re asking for, Tropical Weddings by Aiwa.  Of course we can’t give you a beach wedding or any part of the pacific ocean, but you will definitely think and feel like you’re at the beach!

If you need help with your tropical wedding, Tropical Weddings by Aiwa is everything you’re looking for.  From vendor referrals, to budget management, to wedding day coordination, we’ve got you covered.  We’ve actually been doing this for years, we just decided to put a name on it. ;)  Our specialized wedding packages range in prices and services that are guaranteed to fit your needs.  Call us to set up your complimentary initial wedding consultation.

Until then, keep on lovin’ lovebirds!

(BTW – if you didn’t know, your hint were lyrics from the Hawaiian Wedding Song :))

February 2, 2013-Saphia’s 11th B-day Party02.05.13

What a blast!!! As we walked into a room full of energetic young ladies between the ages of 5-12, we had our work cut out for us.  Our job was to educate & entertain 20 very enthusiatic girls.  What was our stategy??? Well, we taught hula & tahitian lessons during the hour and finalized the birthday party with an Ori Pahu (drum solo) from both instructors. By the smiles on their faces, I’d say it was a success!!  Happy Birthday Saphia!!  Thank you Molly & Bill for the wonderful opportunity!  Ellen
