Nai’a was already exposed to strength and cultural dedication very early as her mom continued to perform while she was still in the womb. As a baby she was already listening to drum beats and feeling the rhythm of Polynesian dance as she came to most all dance practices and performances. When she was 4 yrs old she moved to Aurora, CO. She was then mentored by her mom- Glenda “Āiwa Florez. She has over 20 years of Polynesian dance experience. She started teaching at Kalama Studios when she was 10 yrs old helping out with the kids class. Around that time she also started dancing at Professional events throughout CO. Nai’a is a featured online instructor at Raqs Online and has taught at retreats in Costa Rica. She is an award winning ‘Ori Tahiti dancer with 3 first place ‘Ori Tahiti titles, 1 first place World Dance, and named Top 10 overall in Heiva NY 2023. Due to her work travels she currently assists in choreography, large events, and in-person studio classes when in town. She also followed her moms footsteps and is a Professional Mai-Kai Dancer in Fort Lauderdale, FL.
